What Okinawa has is Not only blue ocean, but also deep forest

This is “Gangala Valley”. Primitive subtropical ancient forest, used to be limestone caves and collapsed to form valleys. Ancient Human used to dwell here and their bones were found here some years ago, and excavation work has been undertaking. It’s a mysterious forest!!!

I joined a walking tour of Gangala Forest.

Meeting at Cave Cafe

This is such a cool cafe!!! Using this cafe hall, sometimes music events are held. Look at the limestone overhead! It was a bit scary, because I’m scared of needles!!!

↓Enjoy some coffee!!

Walking Tour

It is about 1 kilometer walk, and takes about 1 hour 20 mins. Japanese and foreign tourists go together. The guide speaks Japanese, and foreign tourists use headphones and listen to the guide in their language.

Banyan tree!!! Did you know that Banyan trees walk!?!? Stretching their roots, they move forward. I never know that a tree can actually move!!! Cool!

↓Viewer warning!!! Sorry if it’s too late. These are Pentatomorpha. They look like grapes, though.

This just ordinary hole is a cave. In this tour, we are prohibited to get inside of it.

The guide showed me what this cave has inside.(Look at the photo below). This cave is named “IGUNA Cave”, which means “Woman” in the local dialect. Woman!?!? Oh, those are women’s …! According to the guide, they are not artificial!!!! Is that true???

↓Then we move to “IKIGA Cave”, which means “Man”. This cave is deep and dark, so we take lanterns!! Oh, it’s cool. I’m SOY excited!!!

↓Enjoy the video!

You’d better put a LOT OF insect repellent!!! Otherwise, you’ll get misquote bites!!

The tour was very nice! I highly recommend it!

You’ll be able to feel the strong energy of the forest!!!
