Here I share memories of my first trip to Onomichi, Hiroshima.  It’s about 90km east of Hiroshima city, approximately 1h30m by train.

Stroll around the tiny town with hills

Onomichi has a beautiful landscape with mountains and sea. Going uphill on foot or a cable car, you can enjoy views like the photos below. This little town was chosen as a stage of many Japanese movies. Not super famous among foreign tourist, but it’s definitely popular among Japanese tourists.

It could be a disaster if you dropped your apples here. They would go down and down, and would never stop!!

Meet Cats

Onomichi is also famous for cats. There are stray?? cats all over the town. The one I met was not a stray one, but sitting at the window of a cafe and looking out 🙂

Eat

Cafes in Onomichi

Onomichi has many pretty cafes. I went to a Japanese style cafe that serves bracken starch dumplings. It came with little flowers.

 

Aww, it was SOY much fun!! I’d love to visit it again!!
